Hello, anyone still there?

I know it has been awhile since I posted, but everything just seemed to happen in the last few weeks. Of course we had our spring break trip. We drove to Florida (yes I said drove). We had a great time. The kids did pretty good in the car as you can see from the photo below. Our first day there we went to Universal Studios Island of Adventure. It was a nice day and wasn't too crowded. The kids had a blast in Seuss Landing, but loved alot of the other rides. Dylan said his favorite ride was Ripsaw falls (which is like a log water ride). It is the best log ride I have ever been on. We got pretty wet. JTs favorite ride was Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barge (which is a big circle water raft ride), it was very good as well and we all ended up soaked after that one. Emily loved the Flying Unicorn which is a rollercoaster. It was pretty fast too, she had to ride it twice.
On the second day there we went to Disney's World's Magic Kingdom along with everyone else that was in Florida. It was so crowded. The weather was nice. Some friends of ours were there that day too so we met up with them and rode a few rides together. Not many though because of the crowd. When it was dinner time we decide to leave to park to go eat. We went to Chevy's, we had eaten at one before in Nevada one year when we had gone skiing and loved it so we were happy to see one. The food was wonderful! We had thought about going back to the park and decided we didn't want to fight the crowd anymore so we went on the the hotel.

We stayed our last 3days/2 nights at the Nickeloden hotel. They have two swimming areas with pools and slides. The kids had so much fun there. We saw Dora, and Spongebob and Diego. You could have breakfast with the Nick characters too, but we never did. They put on family style game show things in the evening and we went to two of them. During one of the physical challenges the picked audience members to go on stage and JT got picked. It was so cute.

On the way home we saw an orchard were you could go pick your own fruit so we stopped and picked some tangerines and oranges. They were very good.

Before we knew it, we were home and it was time to get ready for Easter.

Here are the kids dying Easter eggs. JT had been outside riding the 4-wheeler and I called him in and he didn't want to take of the helmet because as soon as he finished he went right back outside to ride some more.

Here are the finished eggs.

The Easter bunny came and the kids got some goodies and then went on an egg hunt.

Then on Wednesday it was Todd's 37th birthday (Happy Birthday honey!). We went to Outback for dinner with family.

Then on Friday it was Dylan's class field trip. They went to the Houston Zoo. It was a nice day. Wasn't too hot! Here is one of the photos of Dylan with a little boy from his class also named Dylan.

Friday night was family night for baseball. They had hitting contest for the little kids and a home run derby for the older kids. Here are the kids watching some of the older boys.

Saturday morning was opening day. Dylan and Emily are playing on the same team and they had an early morning game. They won 15-11.

Here is Emily playing catcher.

And this is one of her at bats.

Here is Dylan on 1st base with a throw from Daniel for one of the many outs they had this game.

Here is one of Dylan's at bats.

After their game we had a little time on our hands until JT's game since he didn't play until late so we went and played some of the things they had set up. All three kids rode the mechanical bull which was a lot of fun to watch.

And JT climbed the rock wall twice. Both times he made it to the top and rung the siren.

Then it was time for JT's game. The team we played had two of his good friends from school. It was a good game, but we ended up losing by 1.

Here JT is up to bat.

Here is one of JT's throws from the pitchers mound to 1st base for an out.

It has been a busy few days/weeks. Things should start to slow down a little now, but with 3 kids you never know. I have more to share, but will save it for another day.

We're back!!!

Did you miss us? Well I didn't get a chance to write much before we left for spring break. We did end up going to Florida, but will post more on that another day when I have more time. I have been busy with the kids school, baseball and getting ready for our trip I didn't get to share much. Once I get everything back to normal here I will get this thing caught up. Did want to share a few photos on the boys from last Friday. It was pajama day at school and they were excited to get to were something comfy:

Friday was also an Easter egg hunt for Dylan's class. He had fun and they all looked cute running around outside in their PJ's.

A few days back Emily planted some flowers in this little pot we have. She loves to plant flowers so I let her pick out some seeds and had her plant them in this little pot so she can keep up with them. She has done very good and checks them and keeps them watered when needed. They have already sprouted some little leaves and she is so excited about it.
Want to take a minute to wish Lila a Happy 4th Birthday today. Hope you had a wonderful day!
Well once again when I get back into a normal schedule I will update with pictures from our trip. Hope everyone had a blessed Good Friday and wishing you a wonderful Easter.

Is the weekend already over?

Wow it went by fast. It didn't help that we lost an hour with daylight savings. It was nice and I actually got a lot done. Cleaning that is. I spent pretty much the whole weekend in my PJ's cleaning. It was funny on Saturday morning when we woke up as I was fixing breakfast Emily asked the questions she ask pretty much every morning. Which is " What are we going to do today mom?" I told her we needed to clean. So she goes off and then a few minutes later she comes running in the kitchen and says mom come here. I am thinking ok, what did she do? So I follow her to her room and she says see. She had cleaned her room (for the first time ever by herself) and even made her bed for the first time ever.

Not too bad of a job either. And for those who know me well, yes it killed me that it wasn't the way I make it, but I did actually leave it because I was so proud of her for doing it. So she runs to go get Dylan to show him what she has done. The next thing I know Dylan comes running into the kitchen and says "Mom, come look!" I go into his room and he has done the same.

Not bad, got two beds made and I didn't have to do either of them. Of course Emily pipes up and says well I helped him because he didn't know how to do it. So I hear the two of them talking about JT, who by this time was already outside playing, and the next thing I know they go and make his bed too.

Aren't they cute. It was very nice having all three of their beds made. They did such a good job.

Today they went to Popsy and Mimi's house and made this cute Easter house. It was a kit and they glued it all together and put glitter all over it.

JT spent most of the weekend outside. Today I caught him blowing paint balls towards Uncle Tysons new storage thing he is building for his boat. We had got him this blow paintball gun. I think he was having a little too much fun with it.

Todd's cousin Lana and her boys came in today to visit with her dad (who lives across from us). So the kids went over there to play with their cousins. Was great seeing them as we don't get to see them often. After Aunt Mary Alice beat JT at a game of basketball (they played cow) they all played dodge ball. They were so cute to watch, but bad me as I didn't take me camera outside. Not long after we came back home Grandma showed up to visit for awhile. Emily convinced her that she needed to play Twister.

Dylan was the first one out and then Emily fell next. So Grandma won!

After a fun day of playing we finished off the weekend by grilling hamburgers. The kids wanted to eat outside, but was a bit windy so we put their little table in the garage.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend too! Sure wish they lasted longer though.

4 post in one day

Don't expect this often. Well was going back over my other post and Dylan wasn't in any of them so I thought I would share a few of just Dylan. Remember back to the 100th day of school when he didn't want to wear his shirt. Well a similar situation happened earlier in the school year. Every year when the kindergartners learn their nursery rhythms they have a big parade. The kids get to choose who they want to dress up like. Well Dylan wanted to be the dog from Hey Diddle Diddle (the one who laughs to see such sport). On the day they were suppose to dress up he had a melt down and didn't want to dress up, I made him anyways and after getting to school and seeing everyone else he was glad he did, but here are some of the pictures:

This is him that morning before we left for school crying:

Here he is sitting in his pod at school much happier:

This is him walking around the school for the parade. He had so much fun and was glad he did it after all.

These next two pictures are from him last spring playing outside in the back yard:

The girls

This weekend my niece Cassie came over to visit. So my niece Tori (who lives behind us) came over to hang out. Emily has so much fun playing with them. They got a hold of my camera and here they are:

Aren't they cute? Emily was trying to get her baby in the picture on the first one!

Cardmaking

If you have read all of my post then you know my kids like to make cards. Well JT was invited to a friends slumber party Friday night. He wanted to make the card himself. Well he must take after his Grandpa. For those who don't know after my dad retired a few years back he started making all of our birthday, anniversary and Christmas cards. He is really good too. He does his on the computer and sometimes adds pictures and stuff to it. But his wording is great. We tell him all the time he needs to send his stuff to Hallmark as it is always touching and funny. Well JT must take after the funny side of my dad because if you go back to January's post you will see the card JT made for my father in law and Todd's uncle. I thought what he wrote (all on his own) was funny, so when he did Noah's card I thought once again for an 8 year old he is pretty funny. Here is JT and the card and Emily wanted to make Noah one too so here she is with hers.
This is the front with the bubble gum machine on it:

This is the inside. It says "What's bubbling up? Your age!" They are learning cursive in school so he loves when he gets to write in cursive.

Here is Emilys. She had to do one since her brother was.

Go Texan Day

Friday was go Texan Day so the kids could wear blue jeans and a western shirt to school. Dylan has recently wanted to wear his cowboy boots to school everyday so this was going to be right up his alley. Todd was off on Friday so he got up and got the kids dressed and off to school. I was going to wake up and take a picture of the boys before they left, but didn't even hear them (I must have been tired). So by the time I got them home from school I didn't get a good picture. I never did get a picture of Dylan, but here is one of JT after he had already untucked his shirt, couldn't get him to tuck it in, he just barely took the picture.

Easy Bake Oven

For days Emily has been begging to do her Easy Bake Oven so on Thursday when she came to me dressed like this:
how could I resist. So we got all the stuff out and she decided she wanted to make a chocolate cake with white icing and sprinkles. She mixed up the batter:

Put it in the mini pan:
then licked the spoon and bowl:
Then while it baked we mixed up the icing. After it came out and cooled down she spread the icing on and put on her sprinkles:
This is the final product:
Of course she sat down to eat it right then, but only ate the icing as usual:
