Yuck!

That is how I have been feeling lately. No I am not sick. I have just been in a funk lately. I think now that swimming is over we aren't scheduled anymore so it has been easy to become lazy and this weather for the last two days hasn't helped. Anyways... was playing around on the computer and came across this and thought it was fun:

64 words

Not to bad for someone who hasn't worked in an office or needed typing skills since 1994. It is pretty easy words though. Go try it out.

Emily's Diva Dance Summer Camp

So the end of last week Emily went to a 3 day diva dance camp at Studio G with Ms. Yolanda. First I can't say how much Emily and I love her. She is so good first of all at dance, but also with the kids. She is awesome. This was just a little camp though were they learned 3 dance routines and 3 little cheers, kind of ballet, drill team and cheerleading all rolled into one with the music from High School musical and Hannah Montana. Emily had so much fun. I just wish this is something she would do all the time. She had fun since she had 4 of her friends in the class with her, but when I asked if she wanted to sign up for dance she said only if her friends were going to too and I said they are, but it would make you miss some of your soccer practices then she said never mind I don't want to do it any more. She is so girly, but such a tom boy at the same time. The last day of camp I went up there and took a few pictures.

Here they are getting ready for their first dance:
This was the second one they learned. They played those little guitars, it was cute:
This is their drill team kick line. It was so funny watching these little girls try to hold on to each other and kick at the same time:
Here is their diva dance pose:
I have some video, when I get time I might try to up load it.

We have a few days off now with nothing major going on so it is going to be nice, but not for long as soccer season starts August 1 and then before I know it school will start. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed weekend!

Regional Swim Meet and Emily's scrapbook

Saturday was the boys regional swim meet in Texas City. They did well for themselves (beat some of their best times for the year), but not good enough to go to state. They were both sad. Dylan ended up swimming in the 7-8 year old division as there was no 6 and under like during the season. He did good especially for competing with the older boys. JT's relay team missed going to state by less than 1/2 a second. It was fun and we are proud at how well they did this year.

Here is JT (click on picture to enlarge, he has green cap:

This is Dylan (green cap farthest lane, close to people): Emily got a little Hello Kitty scrapbook for her birthday so I printed some pictures for her to give this scrapbooking a try. She got about 6 pages done so far and she has had so much fun with it. Here are a few pictures:

Dinner with family

So one of my sisters who lives in Arizona came in to town with her grandson so we all met for dinner. I took my camera, but never did get any of my sister Becky or her grandson Jordan, we were too busy talking. Here are a few that I took.

It was a good dinner.
Stayed tuned for more. The boys are swimming at Regional Saturday and if they finish in the top 3 they will get to move on to state in San Antonio. So a busy weekend again for us. Hope everyone else has a safe and blessed weekend.

Fishing

So Popsy got a new fishing boat. Him and Mimi drove all the way to North Carolina (I think) to go and get it. The day after they got home the boys couldn't wait to go fishing (well except Dylan) so they got up early the next day and went.

Cooking

Mimi and Popsy went out of town a few weeks ago and when they came back they brought Emily this cute little cupcake set. Emily couldn't wait to try it out so we made chocolate cupcakes with a cream filing and chocolate icing. The boys had fun helping out too.

They tasted good! Next project is Emily got a little scrapbook kit for her birthday and we printed out some pictures today so she is going to do her very first scrapbook, she is so excited to do it. Thanks Uncle Michael, Aunt Sarah, Lucy, Saliah and Linus!

Emily's bathroom

Well we finished Emily's bathroom the other day. I like the way it turned out. It is so much brighter in there with the light colors. She loves it. Thanks daddy for all your hard work!

I just need to find some things to hang on the wall now.

Happy 4th!

It's a little late, but Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday weekend. God bless all our troops both past and present for giving us our freedom so we can celebrate this wonderful day!

Last week was a long week for us. JT got an ear infections. Apparently the ear plugs that we had custom made for him leak enough water that with all the swim it got into the ear to give him a really bad infection. He did sleep well for about 4 days. He has been and still is on 2 antibiotics. He is getting better now. It was a rough couple of days for him (and us). He ended up missing swim practice all week. I wasn't sure if he would get to swim in his last meet. He decide that even though his ear still hurt a little he wanted to swim so we let him. The boys had the big champs meet on Friday. They both did so good. Improving on their times. Here are pictures of each of the boys doing their backstroke. I love this one of Dylan's take off.

Here is JT. He is the one on the left.
I didn't take many more as I was trying to video tape it, and it was very crowded and hard to get a good picture around everyone.

We came home after that and relaxed for awhile. This was one of the most relaxing 4ths we have ever had. We use to do big parties, but I didn't think I could pull it off with the meet and us having to get up so early that morning and knew we would be too tired. We never even made it out to buy fireworks which is so not like us. Luckily for us we still had a few small things left over from New Years Eve. Here is Emily having fun with a sparkler:

JT with his:
Dylan didn't really care about doing fireworks. He did enjoy some watermelon from Aunt Charla though:

That was about it for us, I know kind of boring, huh? Now we have a few weeks of rest until soccer season starts.
