Yesterday JT decided it was time to let the butterflies go. They are suppose to have a short life span and didn't want them to spend their whole lives being trapped so we took them outside and let them free. They didn't fly out on their own the kids had to help them out and then they even stuck around for a little while:
Even after we let them go they stayed close and you could still stick your finger out and they would walk on it and sit:
This was the last one that had stuck around. JT sat out there and watched it til it finally flew away too:
They can't wait to get more and do it all over again.

Awww - that made me tear up! It's kinda symbloic of us raising our kids and letting them go free when they develop their wings, kwim? Something that is sad and bittersweet but that has to be done. YAY for JT, what a great kid!
