Happy Valentines!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day and got to spend it with the ones you love. I did and here it was a beautiful sunny day. It was great to see the sun and it even warmed up a little bit, but once the sun went down it got cold real quick, oh well it was nice while it lasted! Things have been kind of calm here lately, but not for long as spring soccer and baseball are starting up (or has started, but we just haven't been able to practice due to all the rain)! Indoor soccer is over and the boys did great.

In January we celebrated JT's 10th birthday, hard to believe I am the mother of a 10 year old, don't feel much older than that my self. We kept it low key this year and just had family over and then he invited a few friends to spent the night.
His good friend Samuel moved this year and JT is lost without him, but Samuel just so happen to call the day we did his party, here he is on the phone with his buddy:

The boys stayed up way to late, and got up way too early, but I woke a little before they did and found them sleeping pretty funny, not sure if you can see his one friend who is sleeping sitting upon the couch:

January is also Todd's dad and his uncle's birthday. So we met Todd's side of the family at lunch one sunny afternoon. Some of the girls before lunch:

Some of the kids outside waiting while they set our tables up:

Popsy with his grand kids:

After lunch we tried to get a picture of all the kids from Todd's mom side of the family, but these 2 little girls kept getting in our pictures, it was so funny, no matter where we moved the kids to, these 2 little girls would follow. I was able to get the picture without one of them, but one is in it, on the far right hand side you can barely see her peeking around the red shirt:

Two of Todd's aunt's and two of his cousin's, couldn't stop laughing trying to get a picture without the two extra kids:

Here is Popsy again with his grand kids:

After lunch the girls came over to play, they had fun playing in our back yard on the trampoline and swing set:

In February in school JT learned about Chinese New Year and folktales. They got in groups and had to write a puppet play about a folktale with a moral to it, and each group got to put their puppet show on:

JT gave the moral of their story at the end of the play they had written and it was "Never trust strangers"

His whole class in front of the back ground they all help make for the puppet show:

JT and the 2 boys that were in his group:

For Valentines day at school, Emily's class (well all of 1st grade)celebrated it "Fancy Nancy" style. Before their Valentines parties, all of 1st grade got to have a Fancy Nancy parade around the school for all of the other grades to see:

Then they had their Valentine's Day parties:

I guess since JT and them are older, they didn't really have a theme, just a regular party:

Dylan's class had a pink party, they tried to mainly have pink food, or food that could be dyed pink. He wanted to bring the chocolate fountain so I tried to melt white chocolate and dye it pink, but white chocolate doesn't melt smooth and fine enough to run through the fountain, even after thinning it out. Here Dylan is chowing on a huge chocolate dipped strawberry:

They got all kinds of goodies from their classmates and had a wonderful time.

February is a short and some what calm month for us. I am waiting for things to start warming up and move on into spring. This month Aunt Charla (tomorrow), Aunt Tina (the 18th) and Hank (the 20th), will all celebrate a birthday, hope it is wonderful and we love you all!
