The end of soccer

Wow, two post in one month, I am staying on top of things. It is finally slowing down a little around here (well sort of) so I am trying to get things done. Soccer season is over after this past weekend. Well not really for the boys, their team made the playoffs, but due to a schedule conflict (that is all my fault) they will not be at the playoffs, unless it gets rained out and rescheduled for a different weekend, one could only hope.

Emily's team had a little end of season tournament this past weekend and they did well. Last night we had their end of season party at Ci Ci's pizza and had cupcakes and gave the kids their trophies:

Here is the 2009 Fall season U7 Dynamo (minus one who was sick):

Here are a few pictures of Emily from one of the games over the weekend. When I coach, I have a hard time remembering to take pictures so I didn't get a lot. Emily dribbling around the other team:

Last weekend (November 8) was the boys last regular season game. They did really well, they got so far ahead during the game that coach (which is Todd and our friend Don) let Dylan play goalie. He had wanted to play all season, but I didn't think it was a good idea, he is only 7 (well just turned 8) playing against 9 and 10 year olds, and he already is kind of small. Well he did great and he had fun, here he is on a goal kick:

Here he dribbling around a player for the other team:

Here Dylan is (in orange) surrounded by the other team:

JT had a great game, he spent most of the first half playing goalie, but then he got to come up and play forward. Here he (#7 in orange) is in a face off:

Here is Todd and Don talking to the kids at halftime. This was a great group of kids:

It is bittersweet to have the season over. We all love soccer, but it's not completely over, the boys whole team is going to go play indoor to keep them going this winter.
Dylan had his birthday and begged to have it at Chuck E. Cheese (again). We had a huge turn out for his party and he had a blast. Here he is with his cake (yes that is sweet little Emily's arm/hand on the back of his head trying to push his face in the cake):

Patiently waiting to open his presents:
Halloween was a full day seeing as it was on a Saturday. The kids had soccer games that morning and then Todd's cousin's were in town to celebrate sweet little Maxwell's 1st birthday and after his party we went to the church like we usually do for the hallelujah fest. Grandma met us there. The kids had to have costumes, JT was Luigi, Emily was a Southern Bell and Dylan was a Red Power Ranger:
The kids played all kinds of games:
Then they got tired of their costumes (well not Dylan he wore all but his mask all night) so I had to hold them for the rest of the time. They got to beat an old car:

At church that next Sunday they were having an ex-wrestler come and speak so he was out their signing autographs and Emily and JT went up there, but Dylan didn't want to:

Popsy bought them tickets to do the cake walk:

The kids had a blast was nice to spend time with Todd's family and Grandma and Samantha and Kyle met us out there too. We were suppose to go to another birthday party that night, but after all we had already done we were to tired to go so we called it an early night and went home. Sorry Sydney we missed your party!
