I got started.

On cleaning my office/craft-scrapbook room. My wonderful husband made me this great shelf so that I could store my stampsets and whatever else I could get on there.

So I got all my stampsets moved to it today, now I just need to start sorting through everything else and get it all organized. You still can't see my desk, but it won't be long before I get this finished, at least I hope it won't be.

Stayed tuned and I will post more as I get it done. I need to hurry as I need to get started on the kids Valentines stuff for school!

Too cold!!!

At least that is what I tried to tell Todd and JT Sunday morning as they started packing up to go crabbing. For those who know JT well, then you know how much he loves to fish, crab, or anything that takes him to the water. We had a pretty nice Saturday and JT started begging to go crabbing so Todd told him if it didn't rain Sunday we would go, next time I am going to make him say if it doesn't rain and it is warm, because it wasn't raining Sunday so JT said we promised him we would go, I said its too cold, but daddy said it would be alright.

So we tried to go to East Beach were we normally crab, but there wasn't any water so we decided to ride the ferry over to the Bolivar peninsula. It was cold, but the kids were having fun.

We got set up on a boating dock on the beach were I grew up going to with some friends when I was a kid. Here is Emily checking her crabbing basket, nothing there!

Here is JT checking his crabbing basket, nothing there either.

Dylan checking his crabbing basket, nothing there either. Seemed to be the theme for the day.

I don't know if seagulls have noses, but when the kids decide to take a break and eat a snack, those birds kept getting closer and closer to us, as if they knew we had food.

This was the only crab we caught. The kids had fun, but we had to throw him back. Todd did take out the casting net and threw it in a few times. He did catch one little baby shrimp, a few small fish and one big mullet.

In order to try to keep warm I took Dylan and Emily for a walk down the beach and they had some type of drainage go right down the middle of the beach, we had to jump over this little cut out.

We walked down to the end of the beach and there was the little house that I use to stay at (still there after all these years) when I would go with some friends of mine. Still looks pretty much the same.

Why it wasn't a successful crabbing trip, the kids had fun and that is all that matters. My big kid (Todd) had fun feeding the seagulls on the ferry ride back across. They were eating goldfish crackers right out of his hands. I had fun, until while standing there taking pictures of Todd feeding the seagulls he started throwing the goldfish crackers towards me trying to get them to swarm me. I should have been prepared for it. We will have to wait til it warms up to try again. Maybe next time we will catch enough to make crab gumbo, I know Todd was disappointed he didn't get any this time.

Happy Birthday Popsy, Uncle Mike and Sarah.

Today is the birthday of 3 very special people in our lives. Todds dad (Popsy), Todds Uncle Mike and Sarah! Sarah is turning the big 30! Just remember age is only a number and you are as young as you feel! I still feel 18, maybe that is why I act the way I do. I hope yall all have a wonderful day and know that we love you all very much!

We went out to eat on Monday for Uncle Mike and Popsy's birthday. Since the kids had the day off of school we had some time to play so I let them each make a card for them. The kids love to stamp and color so it was a fun project. Here they are:

I have to say the inside of the cards from JT were funny! He came up with it on his own, but Uncle Mikes say "Even if you are old you can still have fun" and Popsy's said "Even if you are old you can still take me bird hunting...right?"

I haven't made anything new recently so I have nothing to post. I will soon though as I am going to start making the kids Valentines for school soon. So stay tuned!

JT is 8!

It is hard to believe it has been 8 years since I had my first child. Seems like yesterday. We went to the skating rink for his birthday and then he had a few friends come over and spend the night. I was so exhausted the next day, and then we had to get up and go to basketball and soccer games. It was fun, but glad that day is over. Here are a few pictures from his birthday!

This a picture of two of my nephews Hank and Joey and one of my nieces Cassie.

This is the boys asleep Saturday morning.

So after his ear problems early that week he was still able to have a great birthday and we survived our first sleep over!

You still there?

No, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. Things have been crazy busy around here lately and just haven't had time to do much on the computer. Hoping things will slow down a bit this week and will post some pictures soon! So stick around.

Back to school

Monday was back to school for the boys. JT has missed Tuesday and now today with his ear though. We all had a great winter break. We stayed up late and slept in late. Was hard to get back on schedule. We got to do a few fun things over the break like see Alvin and the Chipmunks at the movies. The kids LOVED it. Last Friday we went with some friends to the indoor pool. The kids love to swim. Here they are enjoying the nice winter swim:

Here is one of Dylan, Kyle, Emily, JT and Katelynn all together:

Then on Saturday a good friend of mine said she was heading this way to take her kids skating and meet another friend and wanted to know if we wanted to join them. We haven't seen any of them in awhile and missed them so much and couldn't wait to get to spend some time with them. While at the skating rink they pulled out these little scooters and let the kids ride them. They had so much fun.

The boys also enjoyed doing the Cha Cha Slide, the Hokey Pokey, playing red light green light, balloon soccer and the dice game. Emily didn't want to do any of it and Dylan and Andrew would only do some, but JT, Christian and Michael had a ball playing everything.

It was so great to see them and we had a great time.

One last thing, the most recent card I have done. I am not sure I like it alot, but oh well. I haven't had much time to stamp or work on scrapbooks.

That will change at the end of February when I am going away for a weekend with some friends to spend the whole weekend scrapbooking without any interruptions! Hope everyone has a blessed day!

If it's not one thing it's another....

We are here in a new year, busy as ever. JT woke up the other night screaming in pain and before I knew it he was bleeding out of his ear. We took him to the doctor and they said he had ruptured his ear drum. He is getting better now that he is on medicine, but the doctor said he will probably need tubes. Please keep him in your prayers.

This weekend is going to be crazy busy. We have 5 basketball games to play between the 3 kids (the boys both have a double header). Then both of the boys have a soccer game that evening. I think I must have been crazy to sign them up for two sports at one time. The kids are having alot of fun, but I am going crazy trying to keep the schedules straight.

My brothers handsome little man, Linus, turned 1 years old yesterday. I can't believe it has already been a year. His daughter Saliah will turn 4 tomorrow. Just wanted to wish both of them a Happy Birthday!

Where has the time gone. On Friday January 11, 8 years ago, we were given our first little miracle. Here he is several hours after he was born:
We have truly been blessed by all three of our kids.

WOW!

That is all I can say when I look at this mess in my little office. I am not sure how I have found anything here to be able to make anything. I have a corner where I keep my stamping and scrapbooking stuff. My husband built me this great desk and shelf, but now I can't see it for all the stuff I have. I am hoping this year I will get this area together and get it organized (if I don't, I think my husband is going to start throwing it away :o ). I thought if I posted the picture, it would help to know that yall all know how bad it is and then I would feel obligated to get it cleaned up. So here is the before and I hope to post the after one day soon!

Happy 2008

Well it is hard to believe, but here we are in a new year. I am not sure where the time is going, but it keeps flying by. We had a nice New Years Eve. Nothing fancy, no big parties, but we got to spend time with the some of the ones we love so that is what counts. We did pop a few fireworks and the boys loved it. Emily was pretty excited about it this year and did light hers too. Todds cousin was in town with his wife and daughter and was great to spend time with them. Thought I would share a few photos from the night.

This is a Dylan and Grandpa playing baseball on the Wii.

We all had a nice time and then we all crawled in to bed to watch the ball drop in New York and then went to sleep! Hope everyone else had a safe and happy new years too!
